Match Report: Ball Haye Green vs Rocester FC

Ball Haye Green produced a dominant second-half display to secure a deserved 4–1 victory over Rocester FC and progress comfortably into the next round of the Challenge Cup.
The opening period was competitive, with both sides battling for control in midfield. Green looked the more composed in possession and showed greater intent going forward, but the final pass proved elusive at times as the teams went in level at the break.
After half-time, Ball Haye Green stepped up another gear.
The breakthrough came shortly after the restart when Archie Ellams opened the scoring, giving the hosts the platform their performance warranted. That goal injected further confidence into the side, and the tempo immediately increased.
Joshua Oultram doubled the advantage with a well-taken finish, putting clear daylight between the teams. Green were now in full control, moving the ball with purpose and pressing Rocester high up the pitch.
The third goal was a moment of real quality. Charlie Ratcliffe found space and produced a superb finish — a composed and technically excellent strike that capped off a flowing move.
Keegan Thomas then added the fourth in emphatic fashion. Showing sharp instincts inside the box, his first touch set him perfectly before he smashed the ball home with conviction — a fantastic finish that underlined Green’s superiority on the night.
Rocester did pull one back late on, but it proved little more than consolation as Ball Haye Green saw the game out professionally.
Overall, this was a strong team performance built on control, intensity and clinical finishing in the second half. A deserved win and another positive step forward as Green continue their cup campaign.
