SAFEGUARDING

At Ball Haye Green FC, the safety and wellbeing of every player is our top priority. We are fully committed to providing a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where children and young people can enjoy football, develop their skills, and feel supported both on and off the pitch. The club follows FA safeguarding policies and best practice at all times, with all coaches and volunteers appropriately DBS checked and trained. We promote a culture of respect, openness, and accountability, encouraging players, parents, and carers to speak up about any concerns, knowing they will be taken seriously and handled appropriately. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we work closely with families to ensure football remains a safe and enjoyable experience for all involved.

If you ever have a concern or question about safeguarding, please speak to a team coach or club welfare officer—your voice matters.

We also support and want to raise awareness of the resources available from an initiative that champions resilience, and the importance of Active Listening within communities. Beck Bromley died by suicide aged 19, but he lives on in our hearts and minds as the strong team player he grew to be. His mother, with the help of Beck’s community, has put together some free, practical resources such as safety planning tools and guidance on supportive listening methods, helping individuals during difficult times of change in their lives. We believe it’s vital that players, parents, and coaches know that support is available and no one has to face challenges alone, both in football and in life.

You can learn more and access support at BeckBromley.com — because together, we’re stronger, both on and off the pitch.
